Meet Brian
Brian E. O’Neill is an award-winning writer and speaker. He co-authored his first book, The Harvard Medical School Guide to Lowering Your Blood Pressure, with Herbert Benson, M.D. (author of the bestselling The Relaxation Response and other titles) and Aggie Casey, M.S., R.N. It was published by McGraw-Hill. His second book, The Testosterone Edge, was published by Hatherleigh Press, a division of W.W. Norton & Co. In 2005, The New England Chapter of the American Medical Writers Association awarded The Testosterone Edge a Will Solemine Award for Excellence in Medical Communication.
His articles and columns have appeared in The Boston Globe, The Harvard Health Letter, Harvard Medical International’s HMI World, Living Well, The Boston Phoenix, IDEA Fitness Journal, and many other leading publications.

Currently, Brian is editor-in-chief of News to Use, the monthly newsletter for Harvard Pilgrim Health Care.
Previously, he was editor-in-chief of Circadian Technologies’ Working Nights series of publications, which won the 2003 League of American Communications Professionals’ Publicity Platinum Award.
He regularly speaks to, and leads workshops for, professional organizations and aspiring writers about writing and communications.
Brian is frequently quoted in the media, including The New York Times, The Christian Science Monitor, The Minneapolis Star Tribune, The Texarkana Gazette, Self Magazine, The Boston Herald, The CBS Radio Network, and “The Current” (88.5 FM, Virginia Beach).
He is an active member of the American Medical Writers Association and New England Science Writers. Brian lives in Boston, MA with his wife.
